My mate Pete and I came up with the idea of screening movies we love followed by Q&A sessions with the genius people behind them. Alan Smithees Cinema Verite was born!

Through our industry contacts Pete and I were able to get some amazing guests for the Q&A sessions including legendary Star Wars and The Dark Crystal producer Gary Kurtz and Bond girl’s / Hammer Horror scream queens Caroline Munro and Madeline Smith to name a few.

Here is the low down:

Alan Smithee’s mission is to host film nights that offer movie enthusiasts more than the chance to see their most loved Horror, Science Fiction or Fantasy film on a big screen. He wants to give audiences an experience they’ll never forget! An evening that is immersive and enlightening!

His plan is to screen films in special venues that reflect the film through its plot or genre, creating a unique atmosphere for movie goers to watch their favorite cult classic.

Not only that but the filmmakers will be there! Every screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers who will give an insight into the film by taking questions from the audience. Edited highlights of the Q&A sessions will posted here on Alan’s You Tube page.
